By registering for a ROHFIN AG Account, accessing the Platform and/or using the ROHFIN AG Services, you agree that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms, together with any additional documents or terms referred to in these Terms. You acknowledge and agree that you will be bound by and will comply with these Terms, as updated and amended from time to time.
If you do not understand and accept these Terms in their entirety, you should not register for a ROHFIN AG Account or access or use the Platform or any ROHFIN AG Service.
RISK WARNING
As with any asset, the value of Digital Assets can fluctuate significantly and there is a material risk of economic loss when buying, selling, holding or investing in Digital Assets. You should therefore consider whether trading or holding Digital Assets is suitable for you in light of your financial circumstances.
Further information on the risks associated with using the ROHFIN AG Services is set out in our Risk Warning, which may be updated from time to time. You should read the Risk Warning carefully, however it does not explain all of the risks that may arise, or how such risks relate to your personal circumstances.
It is important that you fully understand the risks involved before making a decision to use the ROHFIN AG Services.
We are not your broker, intermediary, agent or advisor and we have no fiduciary relationship or obligation to you in connection with any Transactions or other activities you undertake when using the ROHFIN AG Services. We do not provide investment or consulting advice of any kind and no communication or information that we provide to you is intended as, or should be construed as, advice of any kind.
It is your responsibility to determine whether any investment, investment strategy or related transaction is appropriate for you according to your personal investment objectives, financial circumstances and risk tolerance and you are responsible for any associated loss or liability. We do not recommend that any Digital Asset should be bought, earned, sold or held by you. Before making the decision to buy, sell or hold any Digital Asset, you should conduct your own due diligence and consult your financial advisor.

1.1 About us. ROHFIN AG is an ecosystem centred around providing infrastructure and services relating to Digital Asset management, custody, and access. The ROHFIN AG group provides users with a platform to buy, sell, transfer and store Digital Assets, as well as other Digital Asset-related services.
1.2 These Terms. By registering to open a ROHFIN AG Account you are entering into a legally binding agreement with us. These Terms will govern your use of the ROHFIN AG Services.
1.3 Additional documents. These Terms refer to a number of additional documents which also apply to your use of the ROHFIN AG Services, including:
(a) Our Privacy Notice; 
(b) Our Risk Warning; 
(c) Our Fee Structure; and 
(d) Product Terms applicable to specific services.

What is Proof of Reserves (PoR)?When we say Proof of Reserves, we are specifically referring to those assets that we hold in custody for users. This means that we are showing evidence and proof that ROHFIN AG has funds that cover all of our users’ assets 1:1, as well as some reserves.When a user deposits one Bitcoin, ROHFIN AG's reserves increase by at least one Bitcoin to ensure client funds are fully backed. Your funds are protected.<hr data-start="1276" data-end="1279"><h3 data-start="1281" data-end="1296">Merkle Tree</h3><h4 data-start="1298" data-end="1322">What have we built?</h4>In order to show that ROHFIN AG has all user assets 1:1, we have built and implemented the Merkle Tree (shown below) to allow people to verify their assets within the platform. Our goal is that every user will be able to verify their asset holdings using their own generated Merkle hash/Record ID. This way people will be able to confirm that their funds are held 1:1 and they can have it verified by a third-party audit agency.<h4 data-start="1758" data-end="1785">What is a Merkle Tree?</h4>A Merkle Tree is a cryptographic tool that enables the consolidation of large amounts of data into a single hash. This single hash, called a Merkle Root, acts as a cryptographic seal that “summarizes” all the inputted data. Additionally, Merkle Trees give users the ability to verify specific contents that were included within a particular set of “sealed” data. We use these properties of Merkle Trees during our Proof of Reserves assessments to verify individual user accounts are included within the liabilities report inspected by the auditor.<hr data-start="2336" data-end="2339"><h3 data-start="2341" data-end="2354">zk-SNARKs</h3><h4 data-start="2356" data-end="2380">What have we built?</h4>By using a zk-SNARK, a crypto exchange can prove that all Merkle tree leaf nodes’ balance sets (i.e., user account balances) contribute to the exchange’s claimed total user asset balance. Each user can easily access their leaf node as having been included in the process. For each user’s balance set (Merkle tree leaf node), our circuit ensures that:<ol data-start="2734" data-end="3067">

A user’s asset balances are included in the calculation of the sum of the total net user balances with ROHFIN AG.

<li data-start="2855" data-end="2925">
The total net balance of the user is greater than or equal to zero.

The change of Merkle tree root is valid (i.e., not using falsified information) after updating a user’s information to the leaf node hash.

It allows proving the validity of information without revealing the underlying data.<hr data-start="3461" data-end="3464"><h3 data-start="3466" data-end="3482">How it works</h3><h4 data-start="3484" data-end="3526">How can I verify my own transactions?</h4>Log in to the ROHFIN AG Website 
→ Click on “Wallet” 
→ Click on “Verification”You will be able to find your Merkle Leaf and Record ID within the page.Select the verification date you want to check. You will then find confirmation of the verification type, your Record ID (specific to your account and this particular verification), the assets that were covered, and your asset balances at the time of the verification.The Record ID/Merkle Leaf enables you to independently verify that your account balance was included by the third-party auditor’s attestation report.<hr data-start="4120" data-end="4123"><h3 data-start="4125" data-end="4149">Verification Process</h3>We have two ways to produce verification reports:
